Straight outta Cape Town

The Origin Wine canvas-Ben Eine & Faith 47

On a recent trip to South-Africa I was set on finding the huge Ben Eine piece he did whilst in SA for fairtrade wine producer Origins wine. After much driving around and some great directions from the lovely Chantelle at the Stellenbosh information centre I finally found the pretty hidden bottling plant not usually open to tourists. Origin Wine commissioned British graffiti artist Ben Eine and South-African street artist Faith47 to create fair trade murals on their 120 000L wine tanks. The huge mural on 5 of the tanks in Eine's largest work to date and a pretty impressive execution of his trademark lettering style. Faith47's beautiful black and white mural was added at the request of Eine after he completed his. I spotted a few more pieces of Faith47's work which are in the next post of Cape Town Street art.
